As a Catalent employee, you will actively contribute to the delivery of our services and products to our customers and their patients.Catalent Pharma Solutions in Harmans, MD is hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Operational Technology (OT) Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of automation/ OT systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, proven expertise in Automation systems, SCADA, Networking, Database and User Management and associated IT systems. Must have solid understanding of the unique requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.This is a full-time, salaried role.-- This is an onsite position, remote or hybrid is not available. Core hours are Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00PM-- Catalent is committed to a Patient First culture through excellence in quality and--compliance, and to the safety of every patient, consumer, and Catalent employee.--The Role - Design and implement scalable and efficient automation, OT systems, networks and communications architecture that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SCADA systems with broader IT infrastructure;
- Help designing and implementing process upgrades and expansions related to Automation infrastructure;
- Lead the development and deployment of automation systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes;
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project timelines, budgets, and goals are met;
- Evaluate, select, and recommend appropriate Automation/ OT and IT solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in automation systems.
- Help support downtime mitigation and deviation prevention related to automated systems. Be available to support on weekends or after hours on call schedule.
- Ensure all automation solutions comply with GMP, FDA, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and support validation protocols to maintain high standards of quality and safety.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences required;
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in automation within pharmaceutical manufacturing or related industry required;
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing SCADA, OT and Automation systems;
- Strong knowledge of IT systems integration in manufacturing environments;
- Proficiency in commonly used automation applications (e.g., HMI design, Database management, Active Directory, Virtualization, Communication protocols or PLC languages);
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA-88, ISA-95, and GAMP;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;The Pay
