Center 3 (19075), United States of America, McLean, VirginiaSenior Platform Engineer, HR System EngineerWe are seeking a highly creative and intellectually curious Platform Engineer to be instrumental in contributing to Capital One's Human Resources tools and infrastructure. You must be able to work independently and collaborate across multiple teams to accomplish organizational goals. In this role you will be part of a team that specializes in integrating and maintaining HR SaaS systems. This individual will be responsible for partnering with the Product team, Engineering leaders along with Architects and Cyber experts to analyze and help derive solutions. As part of the People Tech team that's leading the next wave of technology modernization, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One's engineering and operational excellence in Human Resources.General Responsibilities: - Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of supported business processes and underlying technologies, ensuring alignment to initiatives and strategy.
- Leverage strong analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with HR business customers, SaaS and PaaS vendor partners, architects, Cyber experts and other engineers, solving complex business problems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other Enterprise & HR partners to engineer integrated, end-to-end solutions across technology layers as well as refine intent and groom Agile stories to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Analyze complex, interconnected systems and work with Enterprise teams to deliver on Cyber standards and help us stay well-managed.
- Identify opportunities to improve Cyber security/architecture/Risk & Compliance practices and develop technical solutions to eliminate risk and deliver a delightful experience across HR applications.
- Apply problem-solving techniques to lead application design discussions and resolve technical issues, applying root cause analysis for short term and long term resolution.
- Design and develop automation workflows, performing unit tests and conducting reviews to make sure work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded/configured, and effectively tuned for platform performance, and assessing the overall quality of delivered components.
- Research and develop cutting edge technologies to accomplish goals across the organization, with a passion to learn and grow.Basic Qualifications:
- At least 1 years of experience in system or business analysis
- At least 1 years of experience with technical integration
- At least 1 years of experience working in an Agile environment
- At least 1 years of experience in technical documentationPreferred Qualifications:
