SUMMARY The General Maintenace Worker I performs a variety of basic preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment. work under the supervisor of mechanics and leads. Performs a range of semi-skilled grounds maintenance responsibilities including removing and installing concrete, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, paint, and carpentry work on buildings, furniture, equipment, machines, and grounds.JOB DUTIES

• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on roofs, furniture, equipment, machinery, appliances, and air conditioning systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment including lubricating, inspections, testing.
• Disassembles, cleans, and replaces damaged or worn parts of equipment, machinery, and appliances.
• Performs plumbing, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, paint, and carpentry work on buildings, furniture, equipment, machines, and grounds.
• Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follow safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
• Performs additional duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems.
  • Basic construction/building skills include removing and installing concrete, wood and metal framing, installation of drywall.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of plant and machine safety
  • Must have good math skills and the ability to work with measurements and ratios.
  • Must have some basic computer skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • One year of experience in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

      • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
        • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
        • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
        • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
