About the Occupational Therapist role: Started as an extension of our Birth to 3 family centered intervention, KDC Therapies blends the philosophy of parent coaching and the convenience of medical model therapies. Our fully equipped space is appropriate for children 0-18 who require specialized occupational services. In addition to on-the-job learning, KDC offers professional development activities and training necessary to maintain relevant certification/licensure in accordance with your professional discipline. Schedule: FFS Available! We are looking for people who: Must possess a current Massachusetts OT License, required. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, required. The physical requirements for the Occupational Therapist role: Frequent movement within classroom including but not limited to: kneeling, bending, sitting, lifting, and positioning of students Operation of adaptive and specialized equipment Ability to lift 50 pounds alone, 51+ pounds with the assistance of another person or adaptive equipment Ability to physically assist individuals as determined by their needs Ability to tolerate significant amounts of walking, standing, and sitting In this Occupational Therapist role, you'll get to: Screening, assessments, and ongoing service coordination according to agency standards. Complete reports of assessments, progress reports, and discharge summaries Maintain appropriate communication with physicians, clinics, and community agencies participating in each child's care Provide information to parents that enable them to make informed decisions for their child's progress This role allows for flexibility_KDC values a diverse workforce.
