The role will focus on peptide or antibody production, discovery, and engineering through hit optimization and lead identification. Familiarity with AI-guided protein design is a plus, and experience in leading teams and utilizing automated systems to assay therapeutic properties is a must.Responsibilities Include: - Lead and manage projects focused on peptide or antibody production, discovery, and engineering.
- Optimize hits and identify leads for therapeutic development.
- Utilize automated systems to assay protein binding, kinetics, and other therapeutic properties.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-guided protein design into the discovery process.
- Mentor and guide junior scientists and team members.
- Stay current with the latest scientific advancements and integrate new techniques and technologies into the research workflow.Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- 9-10 years of experience in peptide or antibody production and engineering.
- Previous experience with mammalian cell-based protein production and functional assays.
- Proficiency in using high-throughput automated systems for assaying therapeutic properties and functions is required.
- Experience with AI-guided protein design is highly desirable.
- Experience with Python programming is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring scientific teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
