The individual will be required to provide development support throughout product lifecycle, from initial concept to acceptance delivery to maintenance.The successful candidate will work as part of a highly motivated team environment and will be collaborating with cross-functional project teams making up a larger program or internal research and development efforts. Our engineers are assigned to a manager of approximately 20 employees with similar skills.This position can be located inTewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA.What Will You Do - Own or contribute to the successful completion of FPGA-based designs, on time and on budget
- Work with a team to determine the technical approach or solution to meet system level requirements
- Lead small teams and mentor junior engineers
- Demonstrate self-motivation, with little supervision required
- Work cooperatively with systems, hardware, software engineers, and program management to ensure product success
- Architect FPGA-based systems to determine parts, interfaces, and Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
- Design and code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability
- Support occasional domestic travel and potential international travelQualifications You Must HaveBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline Minimum of 10 years of professional experience implementing DSP functions in FPGAs using VHDL/Verilog to include at least 3 of the following:
- Experience designing filters in Matlab
- Experience implementing FIR filters and FFTs in FPGAs
- Experience with high speed interfaces such as GbE, SRIO, Aurora
- Experience with Timing Closure and utilizing Chipscope/Signal Tap
- Experience in AMD/Xilinx Programmable Devices or Intel programmable devices The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Value
