Mass Vet is seeking a Veterinary Technician for our esteemed Cardiology department. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a compassionate and innovative team. About Mass Vet Cardiology You will be part of a specialty team focused on providing high-quality, accessible, and personalized care. In this role you are directly contributing to the care and well-being of our patients by participating in: - Management of patients with early to advanced heart disease via outpatient appointments with serial diagnostics
- Management of hospitalized patients with the opportunity to practice advanced nursing care skills
- Research that will advance medical discovery
- Management of patients with congenital heart defects, assisting with Interventional Cardiac Surgeries Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee appointments and managing clients throughout their visit
- Participate with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments
- Educate owners about cardiac diseases, prognosis, and homecare
- Utilize different modalities of imaging for patient and procedural assessment
- Assist in both outpatient and surgical procedures
- Provide empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients, be a strong patient advocate during hospitalization.
- Maintain all equipment on a per-use basis ensuring the safety and best practice care for all patients Anticipated Schedule: 4 days per week, some weekend shifts required Compensation:
- $23 - $30 pending skills assessment leveling About You:
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience required
- 1 -2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician, CVT preferred
- You work well independently and in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Diligent worker who takes initiative and contributes to the operation of the entire hospital.
