This position is based out of our corporate office in Mattapan, MA and will be hybrid (both in office as needed and remote work). Role: The Credentialing Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that clinical staff maintain the necessary certifications and qualifications to provide safe, effective care in compliance with HRSA, state, federal, and other regulatory guidelines. The Credentialing Coordinator tracks licensure dates, maintains accurate records, and verifies credentials ensuring timely initial and re-credentialing and privileging for specific categories of clinical staff. The Credentialing Coordinator works as part of the Human Resources department and collaborates with clinical staff and external agencies to ensure timely and accurate credentialing while following all relevant policies and processes. Responsibilities: Maintains and updates credentialing and privileging databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of records. Gathers, assembles, and verifies all required documents for credentialing and privileging, ensuring completeness. Processes credentialing and privileging packages for review. Notifies clinical staff of licensure expirations and track renewals to maintain compliance. Provides technical assistance to clinical staff and managers on credentialing and privileging matters. Conducts timely reviews of credentialing documents and initiates necessary procedures for initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging. Researches and resolves credentialing and privileging findings; and escalates as needed. Collaborates with stakeholders to pursue missing or incomplete information. Distributes and reviews compliance reports and Annual Clinical Evaluations. Advises vendors of new hires and terminations for assigned clinical staff. Performs periodic audits to ensure accurate and current credentialing profiles for audit readiness. Supports other HR compliance projects, including audits and coverage for Occupational Health onboarding and compliance training administration. Stays updated on policies and regulations impacting credentialing, privileging, and compliance. Assists with improving processes and efficiencies within the credentialing and privileging function. Attends required trainings and maintains knowledge of credentialing-related materials. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent customer service skills, both in person and on the telephone Previous work experience in a healthcare setting preferred Prior experience with credentialing process and software preferred Must be able to travel in a timely manner between all Harbor sites as needed.
