This candidate leads, develops, interprets and implements complex financial and accounting concepts or techniques for financial planning and control. Coordinates monthly closing cycle ensuring complete and accurate reporting. Provides financial counsel and supervises accounting and support staff.Responsibilities: - Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to financial management, budgeting and/or accounting.
- Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
- Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records showing receipts and expenditures.
- Applies generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
- Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems.
- Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
- Directs the general ledger activity as it relates to system transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations, as well as related procedures and controls.
- Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action.
- Provides interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations.
- Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance and identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
- Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records and financial statements.
- Directs the preparation of studies, reports and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections and business forecasts.
- Interprets and applies corporate financial policies, government legislation, and accounting theory.
- Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.
- Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
- Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts.
- Researches and prepares economic reports on rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
- Assists in the development of the budget, planning, and other corporate financial requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Ideal candidate will have:
- Must have knowledge of general ledger accounting, cost accounting and analysis, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and internal control analysis and implementation. Experience manipulating large amounts of data.
- Knowledge of general accounting cycle, with ability to journalize and reconcile activity that flows through the trial balance. Ability to recognize inaccurate coding, and the ability to understand AP, AR, Payroll, inventory processes. Has great ability to problem solve with accuracy and thoroughness.

- Must have strong knowledge base of Microsoft Office products. Must be willing to take on additional tasks and duties when necessary.
- Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills as well as problem-solving capabilities.
- Must have ability to prepare and deliver presentations and speak at minor functions as a departmental representative.
- Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
- Must be able to motivate and direct others, delegate and supervise staff. To be able to provide leadership. To outline and hold accountable goals and task to staff members.Experience:
- Bachelor Degree required: Accounting or related
- Seven to ten years previous accounting experience with two years previous supervisory experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Adherence to Hybrid Work Policy: Adherence to the company's hybrid work policy is an essential function of the Finance Supervis position.
