We are seeking a knowledgeable Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our skilled nursing and long-term care facility. The DON will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents while fostering a positive, collaborative work environment for staff.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Management - Oversee all nursing staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and respect among the nursing team.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies.Clinical Oversight
- Develop, implement, and monitor resident care plans to ensure high standards of individualized care.
- Supervise clinical operations, including infection control, wound care, and medication administration.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic resident care.Quality Assurance & Improvement
- Lead quality assurance programs to monitor and improve care outcomes.
- Analyze data to identify trends and implement evidence-based practices to enhance care delivery.
- Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally to maintain satisfaction and trust.Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain knowledge of nursing and healthcare regulations, ensuring facility adherence to all standards.
- Prepare for and lead state and federal surveys, responding effectively to any identified deficiencies.Administrative Duties
- Collaborate with the Administrator to develop and manage the nursing department budget.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure the facility operates efficiently and effectively.
- Act as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.Qualifications:
- Education: -Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Licensure: -Active RN license in Michigan required.
- Experience: -Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations, including MDS, CMS guidelines, and Quality Measures.What We Offer:
