A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder (Outpatient).



Key Responsibilities

Code medical records and documents for inpatient and outpatient services using ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes
Maintain productivity and quality standards while addressing edits during the coding and abstracting process
Attend monthly coding meetings and education sessions to stay updated on coding guidelines


Required Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or equivalent education and experience
Minimum of 1 year of inpatient coding experience in specific service lines or 3 years in an acute care academic medical center
Credentialed as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or COC
Completion of a CAHIIM approved coding certificate program or HIMT program
