A company is looking for a Medical Director to provide medical leadership and physician advice for the Medical Management function.



Key Responsibilities

Oversee and develop major programs within Medical Management, including medical policy and utilization management
Improve quality and efficiency of care by directing physicians and providers, and participate in medical appeals activity
Serve as a physician advisor across various company areas and ensure compliance with standards from accrediting bodies


Required Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
5+ years of experience in direct clinical patient care post-residency or fellowship training
Board certification in an approved ABMS specialty with continued certification
Current unrestricted medical license to practice in Missouri and Kansas or willingness to obtain
