Job Summary
The Registered Nurse in the Med Surg Unit is accountable for the safe, individualized, efficient, and effective management and delivery of nursing care for hospitalized inpatients and hospital-based outpatients. -

Secondary department: Labor and Delivery
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Licensed as an RN in MN & BLS required upon hire,
PALS & ACLS certifications required within 90 days of hire,
Other certifications per policy according to area worked. Additional certifications may be required based on work assignments
Work Schedule
Day shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm; 56 hours every 2 weeks
Every third weekend
One summer and one winter holiday shift per year
Occasional on-call time
