JOB TITLE:Solar Design Lead Engineer (Multiple Openings)


JOB LOCATION:21875 Grenada Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044 (Dakota)


JOB DUTIES: Responsible for providing high quality electrical engineering services for solar generation facilities and their interconnection to the power system. Specific duties include: (1) Providing leadership for solar generation and interconnection engineering design; (2) Managing engineering and technical input for project development with clients and owners; (3) Coordinating project scheduling and timelines with team members, clients, and other parties; (4) Performing engineering aspects of assigned projects including design, engineering review, inspections, and completion of drawings; (5) Maintaining expertise with software and design tools used in solar project and power system design, and providing training and mentoring to others in their use; (6) Providing direction and review for engineering calculations and analysis, including load-flow, short-circuit, and Arc-Flash studies; (7) Completing protection coordination studies and developing relay settings for solar generation projects; (8) Providing engineering support to contractors and technicians during project construction and commissioning.


Minimum Requirements: M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related; and two years of experience in solar generation and utility interconnection design, including specific experience using SKM Power Tools, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and PVSYS or equivalent software. Knowledge of engineering principles and processes, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, site layouts and racking options, and the application of Codes and Standards.




ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: Salary range: $95,000 to $115,000. Offered benefits include profit sharing, 401k, PTO, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
