Position: Director of Sales Reports to: CEO Department: Sales and Customer Service Location: Mankato, MN - Hybrid Position Type: Full Time Direct Reports: 5 FLSA Status: Exempt Travel: 50%+ and some weekends Working Hours: Monday - Friday Position Purpose: The Director of Sales will be responsible for creating, implementing & growing effective sales strategies for Condux International while generating value for our shareholders.Position Summary: The Director of Sales will leverage sales experience, leadership skills & technical expertise to increase sales nationwide. In conjunction with the appropriate departments, the DOS will contribute to the refinement of the Condux product offering, educating external customers on usage of product, assisting with execution of trade shows, and staying up to date on sales trends & competitors. In addition, other projects and responsibilities (temporary or permanent) may be assigned as needed. The DOS will build & grow a sales team, develop our Technical Sales Reps, work closely with our inside sales team and have experience working within manufacturing organizations. Essential Duties:Determining annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marking strategies; and analyzing trends & resultsDiscussing equipment needs and system requirements with engineers and customersCollaborating with sales personnel to understand customer requirements and provide sales supportGenerating high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveriesEstablishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas & goals for regions and territories; and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new productsMaintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitorsIdentifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management and product managementSetting & achieving sales goals and quotas for both direct sales personnel as well as our independent manufacturers representativesAttending conferences, lectures, seminars, and workshops to improve your skills and knowledge Conducting market and competitor research and obtaining feedback from clients to improve existing productsParticipating in tradeshows to promote and sell Condux productsWriting reports and liaising with the product management team regarding issues, foreseeable problems, and effective solutionsMaintaining strong professional relationships with existing clients and meeting with new clients to expand sales territoriesUpdating orders and sales and negotiating the best company contract termsListening to customers' needs and advising them on the best products to buy; consultative sellingEssential Areas of Responsibility:Driving sustainable financial growthForge relationships with current and new clientsExpand awareness of Condux product offeringIncrease market share and achieve annual financial goals Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or similarExperience in sales and the technology fieldStrong customer service, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational, research and multitasking abilitiesStrong negotiating and problem-solving skillsExperience with SalesForceAble to understand and speak English fluently Experience working in a manufacturing environmentA valid driver's licenseAble to be approved to secure DOT approval to drive company vehicles.
