About the Lower School: When you walk through the front doors of our , you'll immediately feel just how special a place this is for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. Position Begins: August, 2025 Status: Full-time, Exempt Department: Instructional Faculty, Lower School, 3/4 Homeroom Teacher Salary Range: $46,000-$65,000 based on years of experience and level of degree Benefits: Benefits include a comprehensive health insurance plan through HealthPartners, Nice healthcare (a free virtual and in person health plan), dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off, and free lunch during the school year. Position Description: Candidates should have experience teaching Lower School students in Upper Elementary grades (3rd/4th). Candidates should possess the ability to teach the full range of homeroom content areas including literacy, mathematics, and social studies. In addition, candidates should demonstrate the ability to create developmentally appropriate curricula, establish a nurturing and engaging classroom environment for students, and work collaboratively with a teaching partner, various colleagues, and parents/guardians. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with knowledge regarding best instructional practices in language arts, social studies, and mathematics. Preferred qualifications include previous experience with Responsive Classroom, Primary Math or Singapore math methods, Wilson Fundations, Readers/Writers Workshop, and Fastbridge assessments. As importantly, we seek candidates who are committed to developing and practicing cultural competence in their teaching and able to operate effectively in diverse environments while also interacting successfully with people from widely varying backgrounds.
