There is an on-call requirement on rotating weekends. Supervise and evaluate the work of nursing personnel; including recruiting, orienting, coaching, counseling and development of clinical staff.Communicates effectively with seniors and all members of the care teams.Knowledge and ability to manage staff levels based on HPPD.Perform all duties in a manner that is consistent with quality standards, infection control, and safety measures, which includes using Standard Precautions, at all times.Participate in in-service programs, mandatory training, and attend meetings in the interest of improving skills, acquiring knowledge, and meeting state and federal regulations.Work as a team member and adapt to changes in work assignments to meet resident and/or staffing needs.Adopt and implement innovative nursing practices to improve our facilityEnsure that nursing staff remains in compliance with professional development and regulatory standardsMaintain a healthy, collaborative team environmentMentor the Associate Nurse Manager, charge nurses and clinical nursesPerforms other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Current Licensure in the State of Minnesota as a Registered Nurse.Registered Nurse with minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital or TCU nursing; has ability to apply rehabilitative, psychiatric, medical surgical and Gerontological nursing and assessment skills in practice. Experience in nursing management and/or managerial experience preferred.Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.Ability to handle inquiries with professionalism.Excellent critical thinking and problem solving.Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.Supervise and evaluate the work of nursing personnel; including recruiting, orienting, coaching, counseling and development of clinical staff.Communicate effectively orally and in writing; computer proficiency is required.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, customers, and the general public.Remain current on tuberculosis screening.Have a good understanding of nursing home reimbursement.Have a strong understanding of SBAR and Interact care paths and transitions.Have experience with electronic health records and discharge software preferred.Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsAble to work efficiently under time constraintsStrong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a large teamAble to handle multiple assignments simultaneouslyDemonstrates a compatibility with Catholic Eldercares mission and operating philosophy.by Jobble More...
