The position will be 0.25 clinical full time equivalent (FTE), 0.75 research focused FTE. The candidate is expected to apply for research grants, write scientific papers, and establish collaborations to expand knowledge and skills. Clinical practice will include outpatient clinics in the state of the art M Health Clinics and Surgery Center, inpatient consult service at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, with the possibility of engagement in renal replacement therapy care at dialysis units in the Twin Cities. The Division is comprised 14 general nephrologists, and 4 transplant nephrologists, many of whom are world-renown clinicians and researchers. The University of Minnesota Medical School has a strong history of training and graduating top-quality medical students, residents and fellows, and this faculty position will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Medicine and the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with the market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
