They will support the development and expansion of research that contributes to the advancement of sexual health in an aging population. Their own research will complement existing ISGH research priorities, and provide a foundation for sustainable growth.Duties and Responsibilities: - In coordination with the ISGH Director and the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health's (DFMCH) Vice Chair for Research, provide leadership in research development on issues of sexuality and aging within ISGH.
- Collaborate with other researchers within the University of Minnesota, nationally, and internationally to promote research in key areas of sexuality and aging.
- Maintain a highly funded personal program of research commensurate with rank.
- Support advancement of clinical and research excellence in sexuality and aging at ISGH, within professional organizations, and within the field broadly.
- Support mentorship of faculty and staff and development of future projects at ISGH related to sexual health and aging.
- Disseminate research findings through national and international presentations and publications.
- Serve on committees within ISGH, DFMCH, the Medical School, and/or beyond which are appropriate in relation to the role.
- If a licensed clinician, provide individual, group, couple, and family psychotherapy or other relevant clinical care for sexual health concerns from a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and intersectional framework.The primary responsibilities will be research and research leadership. Allocation of time to teaching or clinical responsibilities will be determined.
This position is open at the (advanced) Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level on the tenure-track or with tenure. Faculty rank and appointment will be commensurate with background and training, and will depend upon approval by the department Promotion and Tenure Committee and the Medical School. Required Qualifications: - PhD, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree.
- Evidence of leadership in sexuality and aging.
- Demonstrated potential for obtaining federal or other peer-reviewed funding relevant to human sexuality.
- A clear record demonstrating commitment to equity.
- An established track record of scholarly activity including publications and presentations pertaining to human sexuality.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in graduate teaching, clinical teaching, and/or supervision.
- Experience in community sexual education or policy contexts.
- Experience in working in an academic health care setting.

More at . Pay and Benefits Pay Range: Total salary will be in the range of $126,098 - $136,098. Total salary will be dependent on years of experience and rank. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Opportunities for additional compensation are available via the department's incentive pay plan.
