With us, you'll be able to make an impact while you grow in your career.We are currently looking for experienced Systems Engineers who are able to assume a lead role to support our Combat Vehicle and Naval Guns Product Lines. This position is currently working 3 days / week on-site and up to 2 days / week remotely on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off (100% remote will be considered) out of either our Minneapolis, MN or Sterling Heights, MI offices.As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will:

• Direct or support requirements development and management.
• Develop and manage subsystem and component performance specifications by analyzing and deriving necessary requirements.
• Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance, and supporting artifacts.
• Support requirements decomposition analysis to help drive concept architectures and system characteristics.
• Direct and facilitate architecture development of assigned system, subsystems, and components.
• Direct development and maintenance of interface requirements and interface design information for assigned sub-system, system and components.
• Document concept design decisions and support generating System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.
• Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results.
• Support the monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk.
• Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design.
• Support vehicle level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews.Here is a to give you an idea about the work we do.#LI-HybridRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and 6+ year's relevant experience.
  • Systems engineering experience performing requirements analysis, derivation and allocation, and translating requirements to viable concepts design solutions within applicable constraints.
  • Experience developing architecture concepts and evaluating alternatives.
  • Knowledge of how to balance system design considering system concept of operations (CONOPS), performance, constraints, and logistics concerns.
  • Knowledge of how to plan, conduct and document complex trade studies.
  • Experience generating System / Subsystem Design Descriptions and capability assessments per the program statement of work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication techniques.
  • May consider candidates who do not meet all the above requirements for a more junior role or additional experience for a more senior role.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a Master's degree in Systems Engineering.
    • Experience with military vehicle systems.
    • Logical architecture experience, including development of use cases.
    • Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML methodology and tools like Cameo.
    • Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
    • Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.
    • Have and maintain INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
    • Leadership and mentoring of engineers.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
