This role will be based out of our Kansas City location.Keep reading to find out more about the role and the types of skills we look for!The service technician role has a great opportunity to be hands-on with a wide variety of equipment and tasks to help troubleshoot and solve customer issues. Come be a part of our established company that continues to find ways to innovate and grow!Here's a summary of what the Service Technician will handle:The Service Technician will run electrical and mechanical diagnostics and provide required repairs. They are responsible for performing comprehensive quality inspections, required repairs, and preventative maintenance services on overhead cranes, hoists, and associated parts. They will spend a majority of their time on clients' sites providing service, so they also act as representatives of the company.Sound like a good fit and something you'd be interested in? Thanks for your interest!KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists and drives.
- Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
- Proper use of a man lift during service.
- Evaluate and communicate with customers recommendations requiring repairs.
- Communicate with management and sales as to what further needs the customer could have.
- Maintains time tracking per job and reports any product concerns or inconsistencies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.CORE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, manuals, and schematics.
- Ability to read and execute fabrication drawings.
- Ability to manage time to a schedule and accountable for reporting per job.
- Ability to properly maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on equipment.
