What you'll do: - Coordinate, prepare, and review various state and local U.S. indirect gross receipt-based tax returns utilizing technology solutions such as Alteryx and Tableau to effectively manage large compliance data sets. Apply your indirect tax knowledge to proactively identify, review, and implement changes that ensure the accuracy and completeness of Expedia Group's compliance obligations
- Assist with various state and local U.S filing obligations such as sales and lodging, use, property tax and unclaimed property as needed
- Collaborate with other business groups to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure proper indirect tax obligations are addressed
- Perform research and analysis and apply applicable laws to Expedia Group's indirect tax obligations. Communicate and implement findings and resolutions with various internal and external partners
- Contribute to indirect tax project work as required on a variety of business advisory, financial reporting, transactional tax data, and tax research and analysis projects
- Actively engage in day to day activities to facilitate change for the better
- Work as an integral part of the tax team to assist with the overall duties to accomplish the goals of the team Who you are:
