We use an innovative approach to lead casting with a high precision punching process to ensure quality and eliminate grid variability.The Maintenance Technician position starts at $34.97 per hour. You will conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and provide preventive maintenance services. If you have, or as you learn electrical and PLC skills, you can increase your rate of pay as a Tech II or Tech III (senior-level). ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. - Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Uses mechanic skills and familiar with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Participate in training and development programs including all areas of environmental, health and safety issues, especially those dealing with proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
- Position requires handling scraps materials and disposable protective clothing containing lead which requires proper disposal as a hazardous waste, which are to be disposed of in appropriately marked hazardous waste containers
- Follow health and safety practices as they apply to area of work and the facility
- Perform appropriate housekeeping tasks as needed
