Laboratory Services Operations Manager Overview: Reporting to the Director of Laboratory Services, the Laboratory Services Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the Laboratory Services Department. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of excellence within the department. Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day operations of the Laboratory Services Department, ensuring smooth workflow and effective utilization of resources.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across various departments to enhance communication and operational effectiveness.
- Cultivate a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff members.
- Resolve operational issues and support staff in addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
- Promote and ensure adherence to quality control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Collaborate with leadership in strategic planning, budget evaluation, and development.
- Oversee staffing schedules to meet operational needs and productivity goals.
- Lead and participate in departmental projects aimed at process improvement and operational excellence.
- Act as a liaison between Laboratory Services and other departments to optimize patient care and service delivery.
Requirements Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum of five years in a fast-paced healthcare or business environment required, with previous leadership experience in a laboratory setting preferred. Experience in process management, LEAN development, budget oversight, and project management is advantageous.
- Education: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) required; Master's degree preferred.
- License/Certification: Current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) strongly preferred.
