The position assists the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in developing and managing technology services, strategies, processes and functions for the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS). In collaboration with the CIO, this position establishes and implements strategic plans and objectives by overseeing, planning, integrating, and coordinating activities and staff in all areas of the Technology Services Division (TSD). The position directly and indirectly supervises a large team of technology service managers and professionals. - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, contract management, and resource allocation.
- Ability to develop and execute IT strategies and complex projects in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to develop and implement innovative and unconventional approaches to challenging situations.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Technology, Public Administration, or related field.
- Five or more years of senior-level work experience managing business systems and project portfolios.
- Three or more years of senior-level management and supervisory experience preferred.
- Other combination of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
