As a Roadway Design Engineer, you will be involved in projects with our Transportation Team and be part of a growing company laser-focused on meeting our client's needs while also solving their problems. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented.Key Responsibilities - Design and analysis of freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails
- Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation projects
- Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and sub consultant coordination
- Coordinate and work with a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
- Involvement in Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build delivery projects
- Take ownership of projects from start to finishSkills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Professional Civil Engineering certification (P.E.)
- 10+ Years of Professional Experience Required
- Knowledge and experience with Microstation, OpenRoads, InRoads and/or Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering
- Experience with DOT's plan preparation procedures and standards
- Experience with Federal Lands Highway plan preparation procedures and standards is a plus
- Experience with hydraulics, utilities, structures, and traffic experience is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
- Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
