JOB DESCRIPTION The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of a variety of human resource functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. This position requires high energy, forward thinking, the ability to adapt to different environments and the ability to establish trust within the organization. This position is the first point of contact for all HR-related queries and provides administrative and project management support to the Sr Human Manager and other stakeholders. The individual will assist in employee relations and policy decision issues as well as ensure that human resource activities support the GMR Mission Statement and Values. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Responsible for HR administration including, but not limited to HRIS data entry and record keeping. Conducts employee relations investigations when needed, including interviewing, documenting investigations and assisting leadership in corrective actions as needed. In conjunction with the Leadership Team, develops and executes proactive strategies that enhance employee morale, lower turnover, meet financial needs of the Company, and provide a consistent strategy. Performs Leave of Absence (LOA) administration in coordination with our leave management vendor. Maintenance of HRIS tracking of leave, evaluating reasonable accommodation requests, and customer follow up as needed. Provides guidance to leaders on employee matters. Conducts new employee orientations. May facilitate training to leaders and employees on a variety of topics including leadership principles, safety, and compliance. Provides process improvement recommendations.QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensing/Certification:HS Diploma or GED. BA, HR Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Workday knowledge is preferred, not required. Skills: - Strong relationship management skills.
- Strategic HR consulting skills.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Experience using HRIS such as Workday a plus.Credentials/Licenses:
- Human Resources certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR desirable.RequirementsComputer proficiency and technical aptitude in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.High School diploma or equivalent.Strong people and communication skills. Experience:A minimum of three years of Human Resource experience. Generalist knowledge of human resource disciplines including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, performance management, federal, state, and local respective employment laws; leaves of absence, training and development.Experience providing HR leadership for multiple sites is desirable.
