Growing together.Position in this function receives direction operationally from Registered Nurse (RN) Manager and Director of Clinic Operations Specialties. Gives direction to support staff members of Cardiology Team. Works cooperatively with Cardiology Team Physicians, Extenders, and Care Related Teams (CRT). Facilitates Case Management services and coordinates care for Cardiology patients. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to optimize health outcomes for patient. Supports the overall vision of a Positive Patient Experience by achieving a positive balance of healthcare, cost outcomes and patient satisfaction. Facilitates excellent customer satisfaction while achieving department specific financial goals. Provides direct patient care. Provides leadership and team management to assigned team members. Ensures that care meets the individualized goals of the treatment plan. Ensures standards of care are implemented and compliance with all state and federal regulations, standards of practice, and Southwest Medical Associates (SMA) and Sierra Health Services (SHS) policies and procedures.Primary Responsibilities: - Initiate, maintain, and discontinue IV access
- Perform cardiac chemical stress testing
- Coordination and quality of care of Cardiology patients
- Collaborates with CRT to ensure appropriate case management services for Cardiology patients
- Participate in the interview, selection, orientation, and development of clinical staff
- Assist clinical support staff with compliance with all SMA/SHS policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and standards of practice
- Communicates with CRT of referred patients
- Facilitates transfer of care of patients being referred to invasive or inpatient Cardiology care and then transfer back to SMA CardiologyYoull be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
- Valid and unrestricted RN License in the State of Nevada
- 2+ years or more of Cardiology, Critical Care or ICU experiencePreferred Qualifications:
