And you can, too.The C4ISR Adaptive Communications & Sensing (AC&S) product line is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop the next generation multi-function products using technology such as our software defined radio (SDR) technology framework. The qualified candidate will work in a rapid development environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Tasks may include coding, debugging, and integrating software, as well as the integration, regression, and requirement testing of complex SW/HW systems. This position may require business travel in support of product demonstrations, software installation, and system testing.In this role, you will be an integrated team member, with leadership opportunities, collaborating with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers in one or more of the phases of Project Planning, Requirements Development, Design, Development, Integration and Test. You will prepare design and project artifacts intended to be used within complex programs or across sets of programs in accordance with established processes. We will provide you opportunities to learn, leverage our current technologies, incorporate new technologies, and be a leader in our engineering organization.Job Responsibilities: - Duties include analyzing, designing, coding and code modification (typically in C++) of complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems.
- You will be evaluating complex software designs to identify design flaws.
- You will be preparing design documentation, in accordance with established processes.
- You will utilize either a Linux or Windows based software development environment. Embedded targets could range from ARM through high performance x86-64 CPUs and Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). You will be integrating and testing in the selected target test environments.
- You may participate in external project interactions with other companies.Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 4+ years of related work experience spanning software design, implementation, testing, and system integration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, and minimum of 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Top Secret Clearance (active within the last two years)
- High-level Object-Oriented language proficiency (e.g. modern C++)
- Experience using scripting languages, such as Python
- Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills that translate to working software
- Proficient with source code control tools
- Experience with Containers including Docker or KubernetesPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
