With our robust offering of educational and career development opportunities, your chances to grow are limitless.Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.The selected candidate will be expected to lead/contribute to the electrical/hardware engineering teams through all phases of the product lifecycle from conceptual development and detail design through qualification, manufacturing transition and production support. The engineer will be responsible for developing robust hardware architectures and solutions to meet demanding customer requirements and will leverage their electrical engineering expertise to lead and/or perform circuit and CCA design and analysis, technical trade studies, analog/digital/mixed signal interface design, reverse engineering of legacy designs, component selection, evaluation of technology insertion/upgrades as well as laboratory test and troubleshooting. With a product focus, the individual is also expected to actively partner with operations personnel to develop solutions that adhere to UPC, DFT, and DFM requirements. Additionally, the engineer will support resolution of technical issues that are discovered during manufacture and test of deliverable hardware. This will include evaluating and troubleshooting LRU and circuit card level issues, assess test faults for root cause, identify disposition/corrective actions, and design/evaluate test equipment to verify performance and integrity.It will be expected that the candidate be proficient in state-of-the-art design and analysis tools, laboratory equipment and techniques, and executing in a small team environment. Mentoring/supporting junior engineers is also expected. The duties assigned to this senior engineering position, will include the following:--- Assist in translating system requirements into compliant complex printed board assembly designs.--- Technical trade studies, evaluation of technology insertion/upgrades, laboratory test and troubleshooting.--- Integrate Evaluate hardware module performance using simulation tools and prototype hardware in a Laboratory environment.--- Create design documentation, define and implement test procedures.--- Work with Parts Engineers to select and approve EEE components to meet program requirements.--- Work closely with PWB packaging and layout engineers.Other opportunities may consist of sustainment activities such as troubleshooting production units in need of repair, determining root cause on failures in the field, factory improvements, etc. Perform other duties as necessary.#CEMAEngineeringRequired Education, Experience, & Skills |
