We welcome all those who have big ideas, crave innovation, want to drive fielding velocity, and have the passion to bring the warfighter home safe.This role is the Portfolio Engineering Lead (PEL) for F-35 Production within the F-35 Solutions Product Line of Electronic Combat Solutions. The PEL for Production is the engineering lead for all Projects under the portfolio. Production focuses on transitioning new products to production, delivering products at rate, continuous improvement, and driving down cost of poor quality to ensure there are "no holes on jets." This role includes having the Project Engineering Managers (PEMs) executing the projects as direct reports and the PEL reports directly to the F-35 Solutions Product Line Engineering Lead. The primary responsibilities of this role include:

Partner with and support the Production Area Director to develop and deliver products and systems that meet our customer needsPartner and collaborate across all the functions to effectively staff and support engineering across the portfolioEngineering focal point for all activity within the portfolio including strategic planning, bid and proposal support, engineering strategy, integrated plans on programs, engineering staffing, issue reporting, and risk and opportunity management.Partner and collaborate with program managers, functional engineering managers, and operations to ensure program goals, requirements, and needs are understood and achieved.Monitor project plans and execution to ensure technical and work scope meets requirements, schedule, and budget Improve our work environment by promoting teamwork, wellness, workplace flexibility, actively embracing diversity, modeling inclusive behaviors, and increasing leadership engagement.Support technology transfer across organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and the businessAppropriately tailor and ensure compliance with the Engineering Process Framework and the ES Lifecycle Management ProcessRecruit, train, and develop Program Engineering Managers (PEMs) to meet business needs.Identify and support the development of critical skills and employeesPlease note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Active Secret Security clearance and ability to obtain Special Access clearancesBachelor's degree and Minimum 12 years of technical leadership experience and mission/domain knowledge of emerging RF capabilities relevant to the businessExperience leading proposalsExperience in transition-to-production, and full-rate production of complex electronic systemsExperience in Agile Methodologies, Continuous Improvement, and Root Cause-Corrective ActionProject engineering management including organizational design, planning, estimating, design management, product verification, and productionDemonstrated leadership skills (soft skills, strategic thinking, business acumen, building teams, building customer relationships).Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to diagnose, resolve complex problems and to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency.Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.Strong team building skills that enable collaboration and coordination within and across teams, functions, and other business units.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Current DOD Top Secret Clearance Previous job experience operating within a Special Access Program environment.Experience in Model Based Engineering and its application to ProductionPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
