Role DescriptionThe SVP of US Pet Care Marketing has the overall responsibility of partnering with the Senior Pet Care Leadership Team and USLT in developing and managing the medium and long term US Marketing, Communication and Key Brand Strategies for the companion animal portfolio. The role is responsible for providing guidance, support and marketing thought leadership to the Companion Animal Leadership Team and being an active and contributing member of the USLT. The SVP of Pet Care Marketing is not only responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the commercial strategies and activities, but also building strong collaborative partnerships with all key stakeholders, enabling functions, and providing and gathering key insights from our International markets.This leadership position will provide insights across many aspects of the business, including the go to market strategy incorporating visibility from customer, channel and gross to net for Petcare.They must have a demonstrated track of drive the profitable growth, strategic direction, P&L management, and overall performance of the organization.As a member of the U.S. Leadership Team, the SVP leads U.S. Strategic Therapeutic Area (TA) Leads and portfolio management for both in-line and new product launches of pharmaceutical, biologic brand and service offerings to customer in all the Petcare portfolio. Responsible for leading and managing all functions (strategy, market research, business analytics & insights and strategic TA) necessary to successfully achieve defined business targets.This role will have accountability to the Zoetis executive team working with US Leaders across Retail, Corporate and Specialty customer, independent customer and Revenue Growth Management.Key Responsibilities - Provides leadership and/or supports the design, development, and implementation of products and service lines.
- Assumes P&L responsibility for the U.S. Petcare Portfolio & Brand Strategy organization.
- Oversees and provides direction to support market and competitor analysis.
- Develop/execute broader Petcare strategy and drive market research efforts and analytical insights to support strategy.
- Build and collaborates with sales, technical, operations and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of end-to-end strategy in all areas of the Petcare portfolio.
- Collaborates with Business and Commercial Development to facilitate the acquisition and development of new market-focused, compounds and products/services.
- Leads the brand and segment commercial lifecycle planning efforts to ensure new data and formulations, optimize lifecycle of existing brands, launch new products/services.
- Prioritize market research and business analytics efforts to support key areas of business, driving to insight and enabling Business Units to achieve and exceed business objectives.
- Engaged with manufacturing regularly to optimize forecasting and supply plans and account for contingencies.
- Generate business analytics/insights supporting Strategic TA Lead Teams and broader U.S. Ops org.
- Ensure optimal allocation of resources between priority products/Tas and broader ZTS portfolio.
- Oversee Strategic TA Lead teams, enhancing their end-to-end strategies and processes.
- Provides leadership, direction and management for the organization - Strategy, Market Research, Business Analytics & Insights, Strategic TA
- Develop and maintain relationship with U.S. C&S Petcare and U.S. Independent Petcare teams to align on Operating Plans and ensures all marketing needs and resources are met in partnership with the BU Leads.
- Develops and ensures all communications are coordinated and support the strategic direction.
- Provides input and support to the organization's leadership in the area of business development, including, but not limited to joint ventures, affiliations and partnership arrangements.
- Ensures successful partnerships with enabling and platform function groups, including but not limited to Global Manufacturing Services (GMS), Veterinary Medicine and Research & Development (VMRD), Global Commercial Development and Business Development to enable the achievement of business goals.
- Ability to lead large teams and people managers, with focus on developing talent to ensure proficiency and when needed, effectively demonstrates performance management to address performance issues.

- Minimum of BS/BA degree required; MBA or Master's degree preferred. Degree(s) in business, Finance marketing or a related discipline is also preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years' experience (including at least 5 years of senior people management) and a demonstrated track record of delivering large P&L commitments as well as accomplishments in the Animal Health/Life Sciences industry or a related industry.Skills and Experience:
