Description:Pure Power Engineering is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer who wants to work as a team player within our progressive firm. The ideal candidate will have outstanding experience in the design of steel, concrete and wood commercial and institutional buildings and work alongside our in-house Structural PE to generate the solar industry's best structural design, analysis, and calculation packages. - You will work alongside our in-house Structural PE to generate the solar industry's best structural design, analysis, and calculation packages.
- Perform structural analysis for building structures and solar mounting systems such as ballasted roof, attached roof, ground mount, and elevated canopy/carports.
- Produce required structural analysis documentation for the approval of solar permits.
- Determine and prepare wind and seismic calculations to ensure the integrity and compliance of the photovoltaic mounting systems.
- Work under the direction of senior staff, adhering to company procedures.
- Perform structural analysis for existing buildings and create a calculation package.
- Use AutoCAD to generate drawings and sketches.
- Participate in project meetings and conference calls.
- Perform on-site structural inspections and gather information on as-built conditions.
- Work cross functionally with other teams within and outside the engineering department to ensure clients' needs and internal deadlines are met.Requirements:Required Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE).
- 3+ years of experience in the analysis and design of renovations, new buildings, and foundations
- Ability to perform assessments/inspections in the field, including on active construction sites -
- Knowledge and familiarity with typical software used in engineering consulting, including AutoCAD, TEDDS, and RAM.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple assignments.
- Dedication to learning, acquiring new skills, and developing solutions for challenges.
- Ability to travel for site visits 40% of the time.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and other applicable state and federal guidelines.
