A company is looking for a Remote ASL Interpreter for Virginia Schools.



Key Responsibilities:

Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) for deaf or hard-of-hearing students during virtual lessons and activities
Ensure clear and accurate communication between students, teachers, and peers
Collaborate with educators and families to meet students' communication needs


Qualifications:

EIPA score of 3.5 or higher and a passing score on the EIPA written test, OR a VQAS Level 3 certification
Strong fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
Experience in educational settings is preferred but not required
Ability to work independently and manage virtual interpreting sessions
