Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Med Surg Job Duration: 12 months Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every other weekend required, 2/3 Holidays Required Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 Experience: Minimum 2 years recent strong Med-Surg experience required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: - BLS-AHA - ACLS-AHA - NIHSS (must be obtained before starting) Must-Have: - Telemetry Competency Documentation (or completion of Telemetry Competency Course) - Highly Prefer Epic Experience - Experience with Tele, Stroke, Cardiac Drips, COVID - Must be highly reliable and available to work all scheduled days Job Description: - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care. - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs. - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. - Initiate assessments based on the patient---s problems or needs, the physician---s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care. - Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. - Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned. - Float to required Med-Surg/Tele Unit as needed.
