Shifts: Physician: 7a-4p; 3p-12a; 10p-7a------------------
2 beds in triage & 8 bed fast track ------------------
17 hrs of MLP coverage in main ED and 12 hours in fast track ------------------
Hospitalist program in place 24/7------------------
BC EM BC IM/FP with at least 2 years of ED experience------------------
Backup includes: Interventional Radiology, Cardiovascular surgery,
Cath Lab, ENT, OBGYN, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain
Management, Ped, 24/7 MRI, Thoracic Surgeon------------------
Peds ICU and Trauma are shipped out, level I in El Paso and
Childrens Hospital is 45 minutes away (dedicated helicopter for transfers)------------------
Ultrasound and glidescope in ED------------------
ED physicians respond to codes on the floor ------------------
