Key Responsibilities:

Evaluates and authorizes approval of prior authorization pharmacy requests
Communicates decisions to physicians, medical management staff, and pharmacists
Monitors telephone system and assesses training needs within the team


Required Qualifications:

Active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance with state requirements
Specialty or retail pharmacy industry experience
In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs and health plan formulary management
Minimum of 2 years dispensing or retail experience required
