Looking for a lifetime career? Apply today! Job Description The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our Building and Fire Protection Engineering team! As a Fire Protection Engineer, the successful candidate will support the administration and enforcement of the fire protection program at the Kesselring Site and will have the opportunity to: --- Review building modifications and new construction design for code compliance and system compatibility. --- Provide technical support to the project execution teams through system acceptance and building occupancy. --- Support the Inspection, Testing and Maintenance Programs to include fire alarm/detection, water based and gaseous suppression and passive systems. --- Review and development of fire hazard analyses and facility assessments. --- Perform code evaluations to support site operations. --- Provide technical support for emergency planning and the fire department/brigade emergency services programs. This position will require the Engineer to interact with multiple organizations, project execution teams, systems engineers building owners and code officials to ensure code compliant design and construction. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a self-directed environment and mentoring more junior engineers within the team. Pay Range $92,900.00 - $145,200.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guide line only.
