Do you enjoy working with numbers and are looking for an opportunity in the legal industry? Our law firm is seeking a billing specialist to work in our accounting department and assist our billing attorneys with revising, processing, and issuing accurate monthly billing. You'll be required to perform consistent follow-up in this role, so experience with accounts receivable is highly preferred. If you're a detail-oriented professional, have at least 2 years of billing experience, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities: --- Review, generate, and send client invoices on a weekly basis. --- Review Accounts Receivable report and reach out to clients to collect payments for any open invoices, facilitating payment plans if necessary. --- Review the appearance calendar and work with Attorneys to ensure there are enough funds on account for upcoming legal services. --- Reconcile and post client payments from credit card processing system to case management software. --- Answer any client phone calls and emails pertaining to invoicing and payments. --- Update notes in the case management system with all collection attempts and internal directives from Attorneys and management staff. Qualifications: --- One (1) year minimum of administrative or customer service experience. --- One (1) year minimum of prior law firm or service-based business with billing and collections experience is highly preferred. --- Minimum high school diploma with experience, bachelor's degree is preferred. --- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced experience in Microsoft Excel. --- Experience with QuickBooks Online. --- Accuracy, attention to detail, analytical skills, organization, data entry, general math skills, case management software, thoroughness, critical thinking, and problem-solving. --- Can work independently. --- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling financial information. --- Excellent written and verbal skills. --- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally. --- Proven results in a deadline-driven environment.
