Department/Unit: Medical/Surgical Cardiac Hospitalist - D4N Work Shift: Night The Cardiac Clinical Nurse is responsible for assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing, and managing the needs of assigned patients throughout their care. This includes overseeing progress toward discharge and managing transitions within the acute care stay. The nurse also coordinates patient care provided by the caregiving team to ensure competent and compassionate care. Duties include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting treatment as required by company policy and regulations. Additionally, the nurse orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care, and provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
