This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.BAE Systems is looking for an experienced EMI Engineer with a passion for engineering and the desire to be part of an innovative, dedicated team responsible for designing, developing, and testing of industry-leading navigation products.Come be part of our engineering team as an experienced Senior EMI/EMC Engineer to work on design teams in the development and verification of equipment and systems in the tactical systems/IFF product area. This is a "hands-on" position that will require the person to collaborate with a number of different engineering teams, from proposal to design to manufacturing. The individual should be a self-starter, energetic, versatile, problem solver, and have a willingness to work as part of a team. Our team is looking for a new member interested in solving complex problems and creatively designing advanced and alternative navigation systems. This individual will execute onsite EMI testing and provide EMI design direction for IFF products. The successful electrical engineering candidate will have experience with EMI testing, understanding of EMI/EMC best practices and be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams. Additional responsibilities may include electrical engineering design and development of IFF products.*Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status*Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Must possess a current US Secret Clearance
- Experience with EMI/EMC test and troubleshooting
- Experience with EMI/EMC test equipment and filtering
- Ability to generate EMI control plans, EMI test guidelines, EMI test procedures and EMI test reports
- Time management skills - ability to work unsupervised, multi-task, and coordinate work
- Experience with hardware requirements capture, electrical design, and testing of electronics and circuits
- Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline and 6 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 4 years of prior relevant experiencePreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
