Marketing Manager - Email and SMS Full Time, Hybrid US Head Office, New York, NY, US Salary Range: $90k-100k Here at Charles Tyrwhitt, we are known for making it easy for men to dress well, from shirts to shoes, whether through our exceptional in-store services or our delightful e-commerce shopping experience. Our US business is a key growth market and we're now seeking an Email & SMS Marketing Manager to oversee our US, Australia and new Canada territories. You'll be a key part of our performance marketing team, working closely with both US and UK based colleagues with the goal to achieve our forecasted sales plans for all territories. You will manage a total team of two associates and one assistant, proactively creating and improving upon processes to drive operational efficiency and coaching team members. This role involves managing external vendors and acting as technical authority across both email and SMS platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of driving incremental revenue and improving customer lifetime value. They are comfortable uncovering insights and taking action to analyze channel and customer performance in order to make impactful decisions. The role will require creativity, a keen affinity for the Charles Tyrwhitt brand, strong attention to detail, and a data-driven mindset. This role will best suit a candidate with experience leading an email marketing team, building and executing email marketing campaigns, as well as analyzing and articulating business results. SMS/text message experience is a plus, but not required. Enthusiasm to own the email channel and continue to grow this important area of performance marketing through internal and external relationships is key to success in this role. The role is based in our New York City office (near Grand Central Station) on a Hybrid (3-days in office per week) basis. Key Responsibilities: - Build evaluate and optimize the email marketing strategy across transactional, triggered and newsletter campaigns to drive revenue and customer retention
- Lead and motivate Email Marketing Associates and Assistant, ensuring all email and SMS activity is delivered effectively and on time- from conceptualization to deployment and post-send analysis.
- Build and optimize email content, cadence, and segmentation strategy for all BAU (business as usual), promotional, and retail traffic driving emails for US, Australia and Canadian territory.
- Own relationship with UK-based email marketing and creative teams with an emphasis on collaboration, insight, and alignment to streamlining efficiencies wherever possible
- Own channel reporting & analysis for both email and SMS; use insights and benchmarking to shape email and SMS marketing strategy for both BAU and triggers and automations
- Own the US customer email database within the email service platform (ESP) and SMS platform. Monitor deliverability and list hygiene to ensure optimal placement
- Ensure the customer facing communication are compliant, features relevant product, accurate information, properly represents the brand, and generally contributes to a positive customer experience/journey
- Assist with other retention marketing projects and programs as needed As required by law, this is an salaried, full time (exempt) role based in New York City. The pay range for this role is based on experience and we might reasonably expect to offer $90 - $100k annual salary.
Requirements: - 5+ years' experience in lifecycle marketing or CRM
- 3+ years' experience in email marketing platforms such as Adobe Campaign or Bloomreach; HTML knowledge a plus
- 3+ years' experience managing, motivating, and developing junior teams
- 3 years' experience analyzing campaign performance data, communicating insights to key stakeholders, and optimizing marketing strategies based on result
- Ability to balance multiple projects, managing your own workload while overseeing your direct reports, to deliver on key initiatives effectively and on time
- Clear understanding of customer mindset
- Strong problem-solving skills and an excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
