Licensed Practical Nurses are eligible for an additional $1.60 per hour shift differential when working the evening or night shift and a $1.00 differential when working more than every-other -weekend.Job Summary: -The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be accountable and responsible for performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, provision of supportive and restorative care, administering medication(s), and provide nursing treatment under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician or other health care provider. The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be responsible for: Monitoring that Plan of Care is being followed by clinical staff under their supervision; Supervise certified nurse aides or unlicensed assistive personnel Provide supervision, coordination, and evaluation of assigned unit health care team and services.Candidates for this position must agree to maintain the requirements of per diem staff at The Alice Center:

• Work a minimum of (2)-8-hour shifts per pay period and (2)-8-hour weekend shifts per month (included in the 16-hours per pay period). With a maximum of 400 hours in a six-month period. Hours worked to cover for staff out of work for sickness or disability are not included in this total, nor are hours worked to cover shifts for other staff that are already schedule. -

• Weekend hours start at 10PM on Friday and continue until 6AM on Monday
  • Work at least (1) 8-hour shift per year on a Minor holiday (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day)
  • Work at least (1) 8-hour shift per year on a Major holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day)
  • If a per diem Nursing Staff employee calls in on the weekend, they will be required to make it up within 1 month.
  • Maintain mandatory education requirements within a three month timeframe.
