Responsibilities - Perform a wide range of civil engineering analysis and design tasks related to: roadway and grading design, site plan layout, zoning analysis, site stormwater management, utility planning and layout, parking analysis and layout, vehicle maneuvering analysis, site ADA compliance
- Support coordination and presentation of submissions with local utilities, municipalities, environmental agencies, and town planning boards
- Perform site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
- Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications
- Support the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering services
- Perform construction inspections and provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects
- Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small site restorations to large scale new construction
- Attend professional industry functions
- Support the development of technical standards and mentor-ship of junior engineering staff
Qualifications - Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years' experience in Civil Engineering
- NY PE required
- Ability to provide guidance to junior level engineers
- Understanding and application of code requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
