<span>We are currently recruiting on a Data Warehouse Test Engineer job in Rochester, NY. We need somebody who can design and execute test cases in a software integration setting. This person will work closely with development engineers to verify backend database storage and processing, using commercial database query tools as well as in-house data validation tools. They will also work with Test Automation Engineers to execute automated scripts. <br>&nbsp;<br>Essential Responsibilities for this Data Warehouse Test Engineer job in Rochester, NY include: &nbsp;<br><ul>

<li>Perform integration, system, regression and performance testing. &nbsp;</li><li>Review product requirements and use cases and translate them into test cases. &nbsp;</li><li>Create test procedures/scripts. &nbsp;</li><li>Execute test scripts and document and report results. &nbsp;</li><li>Submit defect reports and communicate issues to business, engineering and management. </li><li>The tester will attend various meetings with Solution Designers, and developers. </li><li>They will receive the work order requirements that they will be assigned to for a given release. From this they will enter those requirements into a test workbook and create test cases based on the requirements; the test cases will be traced to the requirements. </li><li>At this point there will be a peer review with the Solution Design team to make sure the test team has covered the requirements properly. </li><li>Then SQL Scripts will be developed based on the test cases defined and traced to them. Data mockups/needs will be defined by the testers at this time. </li><li>A second peer review on the test scripts will take place with the test team. </li><li>Once approved, and development is ready to release to tester - he/she will test in the development environment. </li><li>Then defect triage if needed and the solution is good, the next phase is the execution in the test environment, then production environment. </li></ul>

&nbsp;<br>Minimum Qualifications for this Data Warehouse Test Engineer job in Rochester, NY include: <br><ul>

<li>Associates degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. &nbsp;</li><li>Minimum of 4 years software test experience. &nbsp;</li><li>SQL experience. &nbsp;</li><li>Experience testing Oracle or DB2 applications including data validation. &nbsp;</li><li>Experience developing test cases and manual test scripts. &nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of test case management, test strategies, and defect tracking. &nbsp;</li><li>Must be detail-oriented and possess strong communication &amp; documentation skills. &nbsp;</li><li>Experience with Rational ClearQuest, RequisitePro and TestManager. &nbsp;</li><li>General knowledge of Health Plan or health applications is helpful. &nbsp;</li><li>General programming knowledge.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with ad-hoc analysis tools such as TOAD, SAS, COGNOS, PL/SQL Developer and/or other type of analytic tool</li></ul>
