Position Information:

• The Clinical Nurse in the Heart Center Pre/Post Procedure Care Unit is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families.
• The care plan is developed based on the patient's specific needs identified through assessment of their physical, psychological, and socioeconomic status, as well as physician orders.
• The Clinical Nurse aligns with the organization's mission, values, and management of patient care services.
• They also adhere to ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, North Carolina Board of Nursing Practice Act, WakeMed's Division of Nursing Professional Practice model, and WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model.The four key concepts of PFCC are:
  • Dignity and Respect: Listening to and honoring patient and family perspectives and choices.
  • Information Sharing: Communicating complete and unbiased information with patients and families in affirming ways.
  • Participation: Encouraging and supporting patients and families to participate in care and decision-making.
