TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Raleigh, North Carolina, 27607 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular ICU Job Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Nights 3x12 Hr Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 hours per week Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC) Must-Have: ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing Job Description: - Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. - Report and be accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director. - Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. - Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and attend education programs based on those needs. - Utilize patient education materials relevant to patient population and assess readiness to learn of the patient/family/caregivers. - Evaluate care by identifying expected patient outcomes and seek guidance as needed in the revision of the plan of care. - Participate in discussions with members of the interdisciplinary team regarding patient care and communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care. - Demonstrate competence in the care of patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care. - Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required for patient care plans. - Use healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of care. - Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs and consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues. - Develop goals to promote professional growth and achieve goals within an identified timeframe. - Participate in the development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities. - Use effective communication systems and promote cost-effective care. - Recognize data from complex situations to determine priorities for care and synthesize assessment data into a meaningful whole prior to communication to others. - Collaborate with the patient and family to prepare or update the plan of care and make use of available multidisciplinary resources in planning care. - Identify and address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care and demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks for patients with complex problems. - Stay informed by reading journals with studies or articles applicable to practice and bring ideas and questions to the staff for assessment of applicability. 25788096EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Confront diverse medical cases that challenge and expand your skill set.
