A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coder.



Key Responsibilities:

Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to complex inpatient visit types
Review provider notes and CDI findings for accurate coding
Collaborate with CDI, educate on regulatory guidelines, and write appeal letters


Required Qualifications:

Minimum of three years' experience in an Academic Medical Center with Inpatient Coding
Current CCS, CIC, RHIA, or RHIT certification
Experience with MS-DRG's, APR-DRG's, and AHRQ Elixhauser risk adjustment
Excellent computer/communication skills for provider interactions
