  Job Details
  • RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years required.
  • Traveler Experience: unit does NOT accept first-time travelers
  • Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
  • Skills: Telemetry, Vents.

  • Ratios: 1:3-6, Flex based on patient populations (PCU-M/S). this position will take MS up to PCU depending on needs.
  • Float Requirement: Traveler will work with the CNRO(Centralized Resource Nursing Pool), Float Pool currently covers three separate campuses.
  • Staff are notified 2hrs before the start of the shift. Candidates will float all medical/Surgical floors, PCU's, Cardiac floors, Rehab, BHH, PACU, and our inpatient holding space for ED.
  • Candidates will not float to the ICUs unless taking a stepdown or modified assignment with an ICU RN as primary.
  • PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Caring for patients across the inpatient spectrum from medical surgical, cardiac, progressive care/step down, and stroke.
  • SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: EPIC, SBAR
  • SCHEDULING TYPE: Based on scheduling gaps
  • UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hours
  • SCRUBS: Navy
  • INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY: Manager will not offer without speaking to the candidate first.
    Job Requirements
    • 3 Years of minimum experience required.
    • Does not accept first-time travelers.
      Schedule Information
      • Shift: NIGHTS 36 hours only
      • Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!!
      • Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
      • Candidates will float all medical/Surgical floors, PCU's, Cardiac floors, Rehab, BHH, PACU, and our inpatient holding space for ED.
      • Shift can also be scheduled at New Hanover Orthopedic Hospital and Pender Memorial Hospital.
      • Shifts may be scheduled 2 hours before start.
