Since it was founded in High Point, NC in 1904, Mickey has remained privately-owned and operated by the Mickey family, now in its 4th generation of ownership and leadership. $18-$20 per hour to start1st Shift Monday- Thursday 6:30 AM to 5 PM Overtime on Friday 6:30 am to 3 pm and Saturday 6:30 am to 12 pm as needed for production. - 401 K with Company Match Quality Control Technician Summary: The Quality Control technician is responsible for testing and managing quality against the three stages of production (before, in process, and final) while on the production floor or in the finishing area. The quality control technician works on a variety of manufacturing of products level with practical experience. Quality Control Technician Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of trailers, truck bodies, and specialty vehicles using established guidelines.
- Completing spot inspections on work in process.
- Use instruments such as machinist kits, calipers, micrometers for inspection.
- Create and maintain documentation of inspections per company standards.
- Evaluate data and draft reports for communication with line supervisors to correct deviation.
- Communicating with line supervisors to rectify quality deviations.
- Identify area for quality control improvement and efficiency Quality Control Technician Required Education, Knowledge & Skills:
- Prior experience of automotive or aviation manufacturing quality control technician.
- Excellent work ethic and attendance.
- Proficient knowledge of welding operations and inspection of welds.
- Ability to use machinist kits, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Detailed oriented with accuracy driven reporting to provide written instructions to shop team members.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, written direction, and work orders.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
